Watercolours

The watercolours are all taken from John Booth's bound sketchbooks which measure 5¾" x 8". He uses these sketchbooks to record particularly architecture and architectural details. Doorways are a particular enthusiasm as they communicate much about the age of the buildings to which they belong. Sometimes he works directly drawing with the brush, at others he makes a pencil drawing before water colouring. He seldom uses body white.
